Tell the relationship between the following words

1. Food and food chain

A food chain is a linear sequence of organisms through which nutrients and energy pass as
one organism eats another. In a food chain, each organism occupies a different trophic level,
defined by how many energy transfers separate it from the basic input  of the chain.

2. Consumer and food web

Food webs can be used to study bottom-up or top-down control of community
structure. Food webs illustrate energy flow from primary
producers to primary consumers (herbivores), and from primary consumers
to secondary consumers (carnivores).

3. cosystem and food web

A food web is a diagram of a complex, interacting set of food chains within an ecosystem.
A food web illustrates complex feeding relationshi ps within an ecosystem. All organisms in
a food web are interdependent. A food chain is just one strand of a food web.

4. Consumer and herbivore

Carnivores and omnivores are secondary consumers Herbivores often physical features that help
them eat tough fiberous plant matter

5. Biotic and ecosystem

Biotic factors relate to all the living things in the ecosystem .Their presence and their biological by-
products affect the composition of an ecosystem.Biotic factors refer to all living organisms from
animals and human to plants, fungi, and bacteria

Biotic Factors Abiotic Factors

Predator Water
Parasites Weather
Plants Climate
Trees Sand
Fungi Frost
Algae Temperature
Prey Soil
