Hello Tateno-san,
We have received a SSA-320A with UIFD-320A and it does not work. It means that
if press "SHIFT + X" (Menu) or "SHIFT + ID RECORD" nothing happens.

<Answer>
We suspect that it is totally nothing work on your UIFD kit. We recommend you check the cable
connections inside and the system settings.
According to our check, the manufacturing section checks UIFD unit alone and then after checking
UIFD unit, they assemble it into the unit for the shipment..( no performance check after assemble
in the system..) So, I guess there may be the possibilities of the mis-cable connection or the wrong
system settings.

The major check points are ; (Please remind UIFD Installation manual 2C708-287E*A.)
1. UIFD unit failure
-> The major UIFD parts are ;
FDD UNIT BSM31-1621
CABLE I ASSY CM30-28934-1 ( power supply cable )
CABLE I ASSY CM30-28361-1 ( RS-232C IF cable )
2. System preset setting
Open Service preset manu, and set the following preset items.
BPS 9600
PARAMETER 8,STP1,NON
START OF TEXT NONE
END OF TEXT CR+LF
CHECK-SUM OFF
PROTOCOL MO
COMMUNICATING DISP ON
TERM CHAR 11000
NAK 0x15
3. Use 2HD FD ( 1.44M format type )

The following is the key operation sequence. Please re-check and make sure that any of those are
not working.
a) Record the image
Display any US image, then Freeze.
Input the Patient ID, then press "[SHIFT]+[ID REC]".
R-STDBY will be displayed.
It is possible to store the image by "[SHIFT]+[REC]".
After recording, press [SHIFT] + [C] for exit.
b) Image Playback
Press [SHIFT]+[V] to open the ID manu.
Input the ID used, then press ENTER, Id list will be displayed.
Select the certain ID and press ENTER, the recorded image will be
displayed.
Press [SHIFT] + [C] for exit.

One case, the similar problem occurred in TMSE because of two items are used for one RS-232C port.
Their case is they cannot use Sonoloader. I do not think this is your case because this unit seems to be
brand new just received from Japan.
According to the past communications, we suspect that
they installed UIFD option on those systems.
Is our understanding right ?
If so, they set COM PORT ( in B/M preset menu ) to
INTERNAL.
As JustVision has only one RS-232C port, it is necessary
to switch the COM PORT for Sonoloader.
Set COM PORT to EXTERNAL for Sonoloader.
So far, RS-232C-I/F hardware and protocol were not changed.
