6. ERROR MESSAGE

6.1 HOST CPU

The host CPU detects the following error messages. When an error is displayed on the monitor,
refer to this table.

Error code Descriptions Responsible PWB

5203 The key entry code value from the panel is abnormal (not Digital (Panel ASSY)
registered).
5206 Transducer ID not supported by the software T&R ASSY (Digital)
5213 OF is not generated when an image is frozen during B- Digital
frame recording.
5218 During image freeze, OF is not generated before T&R OFF. Digital
5225 OF is not generated when IM Save is selected. IM (Digital)
5226 OF is not generated after OF reset during FM erase. Digital
5230 During image freeze, OF is not generated within 3 seconds. Digital
5237 OF is not generated when IM REC is selected after mode IM (Digital)
change.
5244 OF is not generated during IM playback/recording. Digital
5245 OF is not generated during FM access. Digital
50 An abnormality is detected during reading from or writing to Memory-card (Digital)
the memory.
51 Checksum error for program ROM Memory-card (Digital)
54 Checksum error for backup memory ROM (EEPROM) Memory-card (Digital)

If error code 51 occurs when the memory card on the Digital PWB is replaced or when the memory
card is connected to another Digital PWB, check whether the memory card is connected to the
Digital PWB of the same revision as before.
If the memory card is connected to the Digital PWB of a different revision, register the new Digital
PWB using the Maintenance checksum registration function of the test system.

The PWBs listed as responsible PWBs in the above table are the primary possible causes of the
errors and the PWBs in brackets ( ) are the secondary possible causes, provided that there is no
abnormality with the system power.
