Visitor Policy Changes at Family Birth Center For COVID-19
Visitor Policy Changes at Family Birth Center For COVID-19
We know this may be hard on you and your family, but the following changes will
help keep you, our staff, and other patients and visitors safe.
1. Family Birth Center patients in Labor and Delivery and the Post-Partum Unit
may only have one support person. No change in support person is allowed.
3. Children under the age of 18 who are not the patient are not allowed to visit.
4. Anyone with a fever, cough or flu-like symptoms cannot visit hospital patients
and must leave the hospital.
5. Everyone must follow all safety rules on the signs outside of a patient's room.
If you are not sure what to do, ask a nurse or other health care worker before
going in the room.
These temporary changes are being made all over our medical campus for the health of
everyone.
Visitors, Patients and Staff Should Practice Simple Hygiene.
• Do not use your hands when coughing or sneezing.
• Cover your nose and mouth with the inside of your elbow or a tissue.
• Throw used tissues in the trash.
• Everyone coming in your room must use alcohol- based hand sanitizer or
wash their hands with soap and water.
• Before eating, use the hand wipes that are on your food tray.
• To prevent the spread of germs, do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth.
