ABSTRACT

THE EXTENT OF MOTIVATIONAL FACTORS INFLUENCING THE


UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN THEIR STUDIES

This study assessed the Extent of Motivational Factors Influencing the


Undergraduate Student in their Studies, especially in determining the
motivational factors influencing the undergraduate students in their studies in
terms of intrinsic motivation along personal factors and extrinsic motivation along
home, school, socio-activities and recommendation to improve the motivational
factors influencing the undergraduate students in their studies. The research
method was use was descriptive research and statistical tools used were
weighted mean, ranking order, liker-type scale and total enumeration. the
respondents were delimited to the one hundred thirty-seven students of Bachelor
of Science in Office Administration from 2 nd year to 4th year in Camarines Sur
Polytechnic Colleges, Buhi Extention Campus, S/Y 2019-2020. The factors
influencing the undergraduate students in their studies in terms of intrinsic along
personal factors were rated as influencing, while in terms of extrinsic along
home, school, socio-activities are rated as moderately influencing. The
recommendation to improve the motivational factors influencing the
undergraduate students in their studies was aspects in creating lifelong learners,
recognize and celebrate achievements, and provide sufficient equipment and
laboratories.
