developing supplier relationships. Jollibee’s raw materials are purchased from its pre-fixed or pre-
defined supplier. This would ensure that Jollibee would always have an available supply of raw materials
all the time and avoid delays in delivering their products to its branches nationwide. An example of
these is having Beef supplied from Local farmers and Cargill Joy Poultry Meats Production, Soft Drinks or
other beverages are supplied from Coca Cola, Del monte and Nestea and 80% of their chickens were
from local farmers around the country. In case of inadequate supply During Christmas season and other
occasions JFC imports from other country.

Jollibee Commissary system operate 24/7, it  manages Jollibee’s total supply chain process. The Jollibee Pasig
City commissary has production lines for breads and sauces, and is the distribution center for North Manila and North
Luzon. In 1996, Jollibee opened the Vismin Foods Corporation (VFC) in Mandaue City, Cebu to service the Visayas
and Mindanao areas. VFC has its own bread, pie, sauce, and frozen patty lines.The Laguna commissary is. Operated
by Zenith Foods Corporation (ZFC), a full subsidiary of Jollibee

Operations is the transformation activities that change inputs into outputs that are to be sold. As I have
stated a while ago ZFC Foods Corporation is the one who process raw materials to finished products. .
Aided by custom-made mechanized equipment, the production lines are for the marinated Chicken Joy, frozen patties
and pies, breads, sauces, hotdogs and other meat products, and dry blended goods. ZFC can service over 800
Jollibee and Greenwich stores. Branch Operations is similar to McDonalds Speedee System, there may be a
certain design of the restaurant kitchen that will help speed up efficiency in its workplace. Instead of
having lots of different equipment and stations for preparing a wide variety of food, there is a very large
grill where there is a designated person that could cook a lot of burger patties simultaneously. Same
goes for the other food stations such as a dressing station where the condiments are added to every
burger. A fryer of the fries station, a soda machine for the beverages, a counter where the customer’s
orders are placed and punched in.

Marketing Sales Jollibee promotes to their target customers through advertisements like tv advertising
billboards and banner ads , event sponsorship, kwentong Jollibee which features real life stories of
rejections, heartbreak and true love last valentines season and jollitown, a show about Jollibee and his
friends. Jollibee also has their kiddie meal that targets children by having a combo of Jollibee signature
meal and a featured toy

Technological , Jollibee adapted Cashless payment in their JFC Stores which is called happy plus card
happyplüs is JFC’s customer loyalty program that rewards members with points every time they eat in
Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking and Red Ribbon establishments nationwide. The points can then be used
as currency for any item sold in any of the participating stores. They also invested in level up stores that
promises to provide customer convenience by introducing 2lane drive thru This allows the store crew to
serve more motorists faster, The Food Conveyor system is an automated conveyor that brings your
favorite meals from the kitchen to the pick-up counters. Inside the Level Up Joy Store are self-order
kiosks that make ordering more convenient and fun. A few taps on the screen is all it takes to choose
your favorite Jollibee meals such as Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti and Yumburgers and complete your
order. The self-order kiosks also come with multiple payment options – either through credit card, Pay
Maya, Happy Plus Card or cash – letting customers enjoy more flexibility. Because of the pandemic
Jollibee also invested with their mobile application and website improvement for easier delivery of
orders aside from their toll-free hotline. They also rolled out their cloud kitchen which are basically
stores with “no dine-in facility”, eats up less space and therefore rent cost runs much lower. These are
part of the 7billion investment of Jollibee to in digital commerce and technology

Procurement

Jollibee procures its material from partnered suppliers; they make long term agreements when it comes
to purchasing supplies this would ensure that Jollibee would always have a steady supply of raw
materials

Cost drivers

The four cost drivers of Jollibee are technological advancement, employee benefits, quality control
measure and changing market demands. Jollibee investing in technological advancements would help
them to adapt to the changes in fast food industry. As a major player in this kind o industry it is
important for them to initiate and plan for these improvements to be able to adapt to changing market
demands. Since people would constantly have different needs, they must be able to constantly cope up
with it while adhering a standardized quality control measure. It is important for a well- established
company like them to serve the best of quality service and products to their customers. Last is employee
benefits, these benefits would encourage and motivate its employees perform well and be productive
thus increasing the company’s performance in providing goods and services to its customers

Recommendation

Based from our observation and market demands we have come up with a recommendation
that Jollibee should have their monthly seasonal menu that features their old menus that haven’t been
served to customers for a while. It would catch their customers interest because they would reminisce
their childhood experience with Jollibee just like their ultimate burger steak and champ. Next is
improving its floor plan though they already started the level up store in NCR, some of their branches
looks congested because of the space in the order area and dining area especially when it is peak hours.
Customers bumps with each other because causing delays to movements of customers as well as the
crews. They must have a pick your order area wherein people are provided with number and through lcd
screen they would be able to see if their order is already there or to be served. There were also Jollibee
branches that uses many cash register though not everything is functional because only limited number
of cashiers takes customers’ order. It should be converted into a take-out lane or pick up area rather
than having an unused space. Jollibee should also improve their sanitation control; it is because during
peak hours when employees are busy they tend to forgot about cleanliness because they have to move
quickly. They must adhere strict sanitation standards in food preparation and handling especially at this
time of pandemic.
