Contemporary Dance 2. It stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict,

structured nature of ballet. 

Theater 3. It is a collaborative form of performing art that uses live performers, typically

actors or actresses, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live

audience in a specific place, often a stage. Modern theatre includes performances of

plays and musical theatre.

Epic Poetry 4. It is considered the highest point of Filipino folk literature, and dates

back to the  pre-colonial period.

The Tinikling 5. It is considered by many to be the Philippines national dance.

In order to find the reason why music, dance and theater is an art, we first have

to understand the definition of art. Art is a diverse range of human activities involving

the creation of visual, auditory or performing artifacts, which express the creator's

imagination, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated primarily for

their beauty or emotional power. It is the expression or application of human creative

skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing

works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Music can evoke

powerful emotions through the succession of multiple sounds that are harmonized. It

can be understood in many ways and it is up to the listener to define the feelings or

meaning in a single piece of music. Dance is a performing art form consisting of

purposefully selected sequences of human movement. This movement has aesthetic

and symbolic value, and is acknowledged as dance by performers and observers within

a particular culture. Theatre is a collaborative art form which combines words, voice,

movement and visual elements to express meaning. The field of theatre encompasses

not only live improvised and scripted work, but also dramatic forms such as film,

television and other electronic media.
