Subject: Interview

Dear Sir/Madam

Hello my Name is Abdi Osman and I am a A-level student at The Chadwell heath Academy. Sir i think
you will remember me from last year well sir i have been re-doing my A2 since i did not get into
university and I’m doing another documentary with a different angle. For my A2 project in media
studies i am producing a documentary on youth development in football and the lack of it and
whether it is down to opportunity or ability. In my documentary i will be discussing various aspects in
the youth structure in football and will be gaining peoples opinions on this particular matter. I will
also be putting across both negatives and positives so my audience are well educated meaning that
they know both sides of the story. In my documentary i hope to receive real facts and the way to do
this is to get an opinion from an expert.

The reason that i am writing to you is that i would loved to interview someone from the Dagenham
and Redbridge football club i know that Dagenham and Redbridge are a good team and would be a
great addition to my documentary as it is my local team. And to receive an expert opinion to give me
factual evidence in my documentary. I am hoping to have a sit down interview. The interview will be
formal and indirect. The interview will not take much of your time only 10-15 minutes where i will be
asking a couple of questions on subjects such as what effects is the lack of youth development
having on the England National Team. Also do the club see it as a negative or as a positive? For my
interview i will be providing a script so my questions are visible and if requested i will be able to send
my script before hand for review. This interview will give a big helping hand in achieving a great
grade in my A-level.
Thank you

yours faithfully
Abdi Osman
