designing in to high-reliability systems.

For example, the device manufacturer has been working

with Freescale for more than 30 years, to enable it to
supply Freescale microprocessors for extended
temperature range applications such as those found in
military and civil avionics.

As part of the partnership e2v has access to the same test

vectors used by Freescale to test their processors and has
installed the same test equipment as Freescale in its
factory. This means that users of e2v processors can be
assured that the processors have been tested in exactly
the same way as the Freescale lower temperature range
equivalent.

For markets such as defence and aerospace, the high-

reliability device manufacturer can supply parts able to
withstand a higher junction temperature which gives the
end user greater exibility in the thermal design of their
system.

Leaded versions are also provided with the added

guarantee that the parts are tested after re-ball using the
complete test vector set. 
