    Land Use Classification


    The land use classification may be as indicated

    ELEVATOR TYPES
    USE HYDRAULIC LIFTS for low rise buildings of below 6 floors speed up
    to 200ft/min. economically easy to install and maintain.
    No penthouse or load bearing wall required for these type of lifts
    ELEVATOR PLANNING
    For office building 100sqft/person ;an interval of 30 s ;net rentable
    area=80% of gross area ‘;5 min carrying capacity of 12% of building
    population; typical floor ht estimated at 12’ and main floor ht estimated
    as 18’.
    These are norms for below 250000sqft, it is suggested that
    consideration be given to the use of separate freight elevators.

    TRACTION ELEVATORS: For use in buildings, over six floors.


    They can serve up to 27 landings and can be used in office , hotels and
    other structures. These elevators can travel up to 1000ft/min and are
    ideal for high-rise buildings of all kinds.
