NOVENA PRAYER FOR OUR BELOVED __________________

Introduction:
Leader: Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, relatives and friends of _________.
We have come together here to pray in the spirit of faith for our dear
_______ who has been taken away from us. We are together in our
sadness: when we share our sorrows, they become lighter. But we are
even more united in faith and hope and love. At the same time we pray
for strength and consolation for this grieving family.

Reading: A reading from the letter of Paul to the Romans (Rom 6:3-4 8-11)
My brothers and sisters: You have been taught that when we were
baptized into union with Christ Jesus, we joined through baptism in his
death; in other words, when we were baptized we were buried with
him and shared his death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead
by glorious power of the Father we too might live a new life. But if we
have died with Christ we believe that we will also live with him; for we
know that Christ have been raised from the dead and that he will
never die again. Death has no more power over him. His death was
death to sin once and for all; and the life he lives is life for God. In the
same way, you must consider yourselves dead to sin but alive for God,
union with Christ Jesus.

The Word of the Lord

All: Thanks to be God.

Other readings: Luke 12: 16-21 1 Cor 2:2-10 Phil 3:20-21 1 John 3: 1-2

2Maccabees 12:43-46

Prayer for Forgiveness:

God, you except us to love you with all our heart. You ask of us to be
good like Jesus. But we have recognized today that we ourselves and also our

therefore to forgive us Lord, have mercy.

God, at the departure of ________ from this word, we pray you to

forgive us whatever we may have done against him (her). Grant us forgiveness,
1
we pray you, if we have been calculating or too shallow in our love or
friendship for him (her).

loving people around us Lord have mercy.

SONGS:

YAHWEH, THE FAITHFUL ONE

Yahweh’s love will last forever, his faithfulness till the end of time. Yahweh is a
loving God , Yahweh the faithful one.
1. Have no fear, for I am with you; I will be you shield. Go now and leave
your Homeland, for I will give you a home.
5
2. You shall be my chosen people, and I will be your God. I will bless your
name
forever and keep you from all harm.
3. Look up and see the heavens and count the stars if you can. Your name
will be
Even greater, greater than all these stars.
4. See now the land before you, rich with food and rain. No longer must
you wander for this will be your home.

Give yourself as sacrifice to God, holy and acceptable to the Lord.

Do not allow your minds to be confirmed to this age, but let your hearts be
ruled By His Spirit.

Now not all of us shall asleep, but all of us are to be changed. In the twinkling
of an eye as the last trumpet sounds, we shall rise victorious in Christ.

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

I am the bread of life, he who comes to me shall not hunger,
He who believes in me shall not thirst, no one can come to me unless the
father draw him.

Refrain: And I will raise him up (3x), on the last day.

The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.
And he who eats of this bread, he shall live forever, he shall live forever.
Refrain…

I am the resurrection, I am the Life. He who believes in me, even if he dies,

He shall live forever.

Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ

The Son of God, who has come into the world.

SINO AKO

Hiram sa Diyos an gating buhay

Ikaw at ako’y tanging handog lamang

6

SALVATION BELONGS TO OUR GOD

1. Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne. And unto the
lamb, praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, honor and power and
strength.

Be to our God, forever and ever. (3x). Amen.

2. And we the redeemed shall be strong, in purpose and unity. Declaring

aloud: praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, honor and power and
strength.

AS THE DEER

As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after thee. You alone are
my heart’s desire and I long to worship thee. You along are my strength, my
shield, to you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart’s desire and I
long to worship thee.

TO LOVE YOU AND TO MAKE YOU LOVED

To know You O Lord and to know your love,

To love you and to make You loved

1. Servants of the Lord, ours the upward call. To lay down our lives and to
give our all.
2. For to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Both in death and life, ours a
single aim.

7
3. Riches, honor, fame gladly we despise. That we may attain, the pearl of
great price.
4. Nothing in this world, shall possess our hearts. You alone O Lord, are the
better part.

WE BELONG TO GOD

None of us lives as his shown, and none of us dies at his own.

For while we live, we are responsible to God, and when we die, we die
as his servants.

For both in life and death, we belong to God

That is why Christ has died for us and come again
We shall all appear before the judgement seat of God
For it is written: “Every knee shall bend before Me, and every
tongue shall give praise to God.”

For we are sure that neither death nor life, nor this nor future ages, nor
their powers. No height, no depth, no creature that thrives, will come
between us and the love of Christ.

DIYOS AY PAG-IBIG

Pag ibig ang siyang pumukay sa ating puso at kaluluwa

Ang siyang nagdulot sa ating buhay, ng gintong aral at pag-asa

Pag-ibig ang siyang buklod natin, di mapapawi kalian pa man

Reapet chorus. Diyos ay pag-ibig
