POZAR chapter 14: RF MICROWAVE SYSTEMS. Exercise 15 __ 10/11/2020 14:20:01.

EXAMPLE 14.15
Click any to open the MATLAB script solving this exercise. Run script to read question and calculate solution.
On 1st run, the exercise is solved and the results are stored in .mat file. Parameters can be modified to solve
exercise variations. MATLAB student licences are cheap and there is a type that does not even require to be
registered in any university or college. All comments welcome.

This exercise, as poised, does not require MATLAB script because all it has to be done in Monostatic Pr formula to split R^2 into R1*R2 where R1 is
distance transmitter - target and R2 is distance target - receiver, and same for G^2 into Gtx*Grx because in bistatic radar systems receivers are different
units with lower antenna gain not on same location as transmitter, or multiple transmitters may be illuminating the scenario for multiple receivers.

The Solution folder for next exercise 14.16 contains Mathworks application note slexBistaticExample.slx related to bistatic radar.

While a target may return a clear echo from one direction, it may be the case that it bounces away signals coming from other directions.

Therefore it's important to know as much as possible of targets to detect in advance: size, shape, materials composing external layers. rcs, radar cross
sections,  may be direction [theta phi] , location [x y z] and time dependent.
