MY EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

A good teacher makes a positive impact on a child’s life, puts in the effort to make sure
that every student understands, and teaches right from wrong. I love children, and I want to make
a difference in the world. Teaching students to be creative, innovative, and use their knowledge
correctly will significantly impact the planet. All students need to be nurtured, loved, cared for,
and educated. Students learn best when their needs are met.
Education is essential to succeed and to discover the world around us. Education gives
opportunities to explore new things at deeper levels. Reading allows us to find new worlds;
writing gives us the chance to make one. Education enables us to do that. The children will learn
something new every day that will be remembered for a lifetime. They will be taught to see from
different points-of-view. Classrooms will be organized and hands-on. It will be decorated with
bright colors and their artwork to retain knowledge and encourage creativity. Everything the
student needs will be at reach. Students will be proud of who they are. Teachers need to be
caring, loving, willing to listen, and eager to be there.
The students should have the freedom to choose, but in a controlled matter. We must
focus on the student; if the student does not seem interested in a subject, we should figure out a
way that the child can enjoy it. Students will be reached using one on one time or small groups to
see their level and help them catch up. If some are more advanced, they will be challenged by
something different. Lesson plans should include direct instruction with hands-on or
conversational experience. Having healthy relationships with the student and their family is
essential.
Having a strong relationship with the community will help create a better understanding
of the students and others surrounding them. A strong relationship with colleagues will create a
stronger teacher. A support system and people to share ideas back forth with one another will
help.
An intentional teacher will make a difference in the world. Children are our future;
therefore, they need to be taught in the best way possible. The goal is to have students leave the
classroom believing in themselves. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use
to change the world” - Nelson Mandela.
