Things Learned:
1. Sarah Quinn- I learned that I can take big picture ideas and turn them into tangible,
real world ideas and activities.
2. Ugonna Emuka- I learned how to make changes as I go. Things change even when they
are planned. Also think the ability to think of ways to turn technical lecture into
interesting and fun activities helped expand my creative muscles.
3. Rick Wandji- I learn how to go with the flow and how to adapt to new situations.
Having to think of how to build connections and instruct a topic that was more so
meant to be taught in person.
Outcomes
● Overall, the camp went pretty well. Had little to no issues
● Student feedback showed students enjoyed the camp and various activities we had
planned. The VPerch software had some glitches but we were able to troubleshoot
these for the most part. Online environment made it difficult to keep students
engaged, but students were attentive everyday.
Changes For The Future
Add Take-Away

● More hands-on activities ● Surface level complexity of VPerch

○ Increase difficulty ○ No electricity

● Increase student participation ○ No depth about propulsion and

○ Difficult online buoyancy

○ Should change with program
redesign
● Find a new way to test ROVs
○ Tournament was long
