Pedagogy Planning

Complete the sentence below:

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to count objects
given and write in corresponding correct answer(s) and learn about reading, writing,
and counting number(s) up to 20 .

For example: In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to
move and sort authors by time period and learn about literary genres.

Activity).  Students will follow normal morning routines: breakfast,


turn in signed homework assignment, and complete early
morning task ( write new sight words three times & color
corresponding picture).
 Teacher along with students review and “update”
happenings of day: month, day within month, and
weather for the day. Having selected students (via raising
hands) to adjust cards as needed.
 In-class jeopardy jingle bell starts, students know it’s
reading circle time. Teacher reviews book cover and ask
students their thoughts to how the story may go. Teacher
writes at least 4 thoughts on board. After reading,
students able to (along with teacher assistance) review
initial thoughts compared to ending.
 Once back at assigned tables, teacher will handout math
worksheets to students for independent work. Utilizing
scissors, glue, and crayons to complete. Teacher will
check work w/a smiley face.
 To reinforce math comprehension, students are placed in
groups of three to utilize IWB pre-made math activity.
Teacher will do one activity w/students to ensure
comprehension of task.
 There are 3 activity presentations where questions are
random but mainly ask how many objects are within a
group. Objects are either in a line, circle, or rectangular
array.
 A) Students will be able to count shown number of
objects and give answer within answer block.
B) Students will be able to count number of given objects
and pick correct answer. Given choices reinforces
student’s number recognition.
C) Students will be able to give total count where objects
are in groups.
 The activity through IWB helps to reinforce areas
(reading & math).
 After allotted Math time, students given free activity
time.
 Lunch/ Outside time
 Teacher will continue with Science and History
assignments.
 End of day
