It’s not ok to be silent

Bullying takes on different kind of forms, physical, verbal, and now online on the
internet called cyber. Victims of cyberbullying can be any person of any age or walk of life……
Including YOU. A person who is bullied online may have the feeling of being embarrassed of
what they are going through. The Feelings of anxiety, depression, sleepless nights, and feeling
of being lost and helpless can be traumatic. For many victims of cyberbullying who is unable to
cope and unable to get help has resulted to tragic events including suicide and self-harm.
It is high time that we break the cycle of violence, it is imperative for us to cut
the cycle of silence and suffering. We must take action, we must talk and every victim must be
encouraged to come out in the open. Do not be afraid, do not hesitate to ask for help because
no one deserves to fall prey to abuses in social media.
You Don’t have to be embarrassed of being weak but staying weak is. It is okay
to feel lost, it is okay to cry, it is alright to feel angry but in the process heal yourself. Because If
you are being bullied it’s not OK to BE SILENT…Thank you.
