Set up Data Exports on maXYmos TL/NC

Create User
1. Right Click My Computer > Manage

2. Select Local Users and Groups


3. Right Click Users, click “New User…”.

4. Fill in User Name, Full Name, and Password. In this example I used the Username “maXYmos”. I
typed in the password into the Description field as well to serve as a reminder, in case the
password is forgotten. Untick “User must change password at next logon”. Tick both “User
cannot change password” and “Password never expires”. Click Create after everything is done.
Create Folder
1. Next, we have to create the folder to store the data export files from the maXYmos. In this
example I created a folder named “maxymos data”. Right click the folder and select Properties.

2. Go to the sharing tab and Select Share.


3. Type in the username and click Add. Change the Permission Level to “Read/Write”. Then click
Share.

4. Click Done at the confirmation screen.


5. Next, Click Advanced Sharing.

6. Tick “Share this folder”. Then click Permissions.


7. Click “Add…”

8. Type in the username and click “Check Names”.

9. The username created earlier should appear. Then click “OK”.


10. Tick “Full Control” to allow the maXYmos to Change and Read the contents of the folder. Then
Click OK.
Data Exports on maXYmos TL/NC
1. Now we move to the maXYmos. On maXYmos, go to Setup > Global Setup > Data Exports >
Standard Protocols.
a. Export Format: Choose between PDF, CSV or XML format. In this example I chose PDF.
b. To be Exported: Choose between all data, NOK data only, or OK data only.
c. Format Type: Brief shows information such as the graph and the EO values. Full includes
more details such as the Channel X settings, Channel Y settings, Cycle Control settings
etc.
d. Tick Export to Server.
2. Next, click on the Server tab. Input the Server IP Address, the username and password created
earlier, and the name of the folder created earlier. Then click the Tick mark.

3. If everything is done correctly, there will be a symbol with a blue arrow.


Troubleshooting

Here are a few common problems with Data Exports:

 maXYmos and server are not in the same subnet mask


 Share / Target folder is not set to read / write by the selected user
 User does not exist on the PC / Server
 Internet protocol (TCP/IP) is not activated
 Server a dynamic IP – address via DHCP.
