POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME

Guidelines and Instructions for the Candidates for Proctored Examination

Requirements:
1. Laptop/Desktop is in working condition with sufficient power back-up
2. Uninterrupted Power Supply with necessary back up
3. Stable Internet Connection with Minimum Upload Speed: => 512kbps proper speed.
4. Good quality webcam and audio facility for the examination
5. Supported browser – Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. (It won’t support on edge
browsers)
6. It’s better to have a Room or a space to take the proctored exam to ensure privacy. You
should ensure that the examination place should not violate the private space of any of
the family members/persons in his immediate settings. 
7. You may require A4 sheets/Graph Sheets/Scientific Calculator/ear phone for some
examinations. But, you are allowed to use only, if instructed.
8. Mobile Phone may be required for some exams to upload the answers. In that case, you
should keep it in switch off mode. But, you should take prior permission from invigilator.

Steps to follow for the examination:


1. Exam Link – Students will get the examination link one day before each examinations
from admin@mettl.com and the PGP Office will also share the link. If you have not
received the link, you should get in touch with PGP Office Staff before 5.00 pm (contact
details provided at the end).
2. You will be able to start the exam only on the scheduled time.
3. Click “Start Test” and allow permission to share the camera, microphone and screen
4. Register with your E-mail id, Name and Roll No. Please ensure that you have written
your Roll No. in this format - Eg: PGP/24/001. (Registration process is required for each
examinations)
5. Provide your snap shot and Photo ID Card (Aadhar Card/Driving License/Pan
Card/Passport). Enough light is required in the room.
6. The student will able to see Exam Instructions and start the exam accordingly.
7. Review options will be available, so that students will get the flexibility to edit the answer
and it will be saved automatically.
8. The student has to show 360 degree view of the writing space as per the instruction of
the invigilator at any point of time.
9. Invigilator will communicate through chat box only. Advice you to check your chat box
regularly. Students can also use chat box for any queries.
10. Time stamp will be available in the examination screen.
11. Once the student complete the exam, click the “Submit” button. If the student not able to
complete the test within the stipulated time, the window will close and their answer will
be saved automatically.
12. In case the student got disconnected from the assessment, he/she has the facility to
restart the test in next 5-10 mins without taking help from the exam administrator. To
restart the test, the student has to click on the same examination link again (available in
your e-mail) and you may be able to resume from where you had left.
General Instructions:
1. If the students are found guilty for any kind of malpractice or any activities (usage of
social media platforms, electronic devices except calculators, referring study materials
etc.), ‘F’ grade will be awarded for the Course irrespective of lesser or stronger
magnitude as per the Academic Handbook of PGP 24 batch (Clause 4.4).
2. The entire process of the examination will be recorded and the PGP Office will
review the same at a later stage.
3. Differently abled students will get additional time as per norms.

DO’s by Students:
1. Keep a bottle of water for drinking.
2. Take prior permission from invigilator to go to washroom.
3. Should be dressed properly.
4. Be polite while communicating with invigilator.
5. Watch the chat box regularly.
6. Make sure there is enough light on your face and you do not move away from the test
screen or it is not covered/ blocked by any object, even your hands while giving the
exam as the same shall be recorded as a red flag for ‘face not visible’.

DON’Ts by Students:
1. Ensure that there are no loud noises or disturbance of any kind.
2. Usage of other applications such as Zoom, Whatsapp, and other devices (tablets,
smart watch, earphones/ headphones) and using browsing internet/e-mail, mobile
phones will be treated as malpractice. However, usage of e-mails and mobile
phone are allowed as per the exam instructions with prior permission of
invigilator.
3. Do not read the questions aloud.
4. Ensure all notifications, pop-ups are closed before you start the test to avoid the
computer screen navigation away from the online test window.
5. Don't use abusive language while communicating with the invigilators.
