A1. School Purpose Criterion: The school has established a clear vision and mission (purpose) that reflects the beliefs and
philosophies of the institution. The purpose is defined further by adopted schoolwide learner outcomes that form the basis of the
educational program for every student.

UPDATES:
● Teachers are reciting Vision, Mission, and SLOs with students during Google Meets/Hardcopy-
Vision, Mission, and SLOs will be distributed via Hard Copy packet
● Use of SLOs evidence will be collected via PenPal letters that were sent home to both Hardcopy and
Online learners.
● Each student will fill out the SLOs rubric this year. Rubric was not implemented during 1st Quarter;
however, teachers will be monitoring SLOs evidence through the use of SLOs rubric for 1st Semester-
Hardcopy version to be sent out through the packets/ Online version will be in two styles: Google
Slides for primary grades and Google Forms for intermediate grades.
● AIMSWeb assessments and/or DWA are unclear as to its administration this school year due to
current school closures.

A2. Governance Criterion: The governing authority (a) adopts policies which are consistent with the school’s
mission and vision (purpose) and supports the achievement of the schoolwide learner outcomes, (b) delegates

Processes for regular monitoring and communication

● Due to COVID-19, GEB regular meetings are conducted virtually via Zoom Conferencing and live-
streamed on Guam Department of Education’s facebook. Public notice is published in the Guam
Daily Post and on the Office of the Attorney General’s Public Meeting website. Meetings are
recorded and minutes of the meeting are produced and posted on the GEB website. The Board allows
individuals to submit written testimony of public participation within 10 days after each meeting via
email.

A3. School Leadership Criterion: The school leadership (a) makes decisions to facilitate actions that focus the
energies of the school on students’ achievement of the schoolwide learner outcomes; (b) empowers the staff;
and (c) encourages commitment, participation, and shared accountability for student learning.

UPDATES:
● The school principal maintains shared responsibility and involves all staff by clearly defining their
roles and responsibilities to include ensuring students are provided quality education and reinforces
the vision, mission, goals, and student learning outcomes to improve student achievement.

expectations for each student.

● On a yearly basis, the HSTES guidance counselor will share District-Wide Assessment and
