Dear Zebra Families,

Our class Christmas Party is this Wednesday, December 16 th. Thank you so much to everyone who signed up to send
in items. The children are so proud of the foods they bring in to share with their friends!

Our Accomplishments:

We had a busy week that included celebrating Shota’s Special Day with dinosaur napkins and reading The Kissing
Hand. The children worked on a secret craft to give to you and hope that you will love it! They also made a
Christmas tree, decorated angels with glitter, and put their initials on red stockings with glitter. We made green and
red chains to decorate our class Christmas tree. Our class decorated stockings with dot markers to hang by the
chimney. Using scissors and tape, they wrapped boxes that were filled with a present to play in a game and give to
each other. Practicing their fine motor skills, the children stuffed ornaments with fillers to hang on their Christmas
tree at home. In addition, the class made Christmas cards with foam stickers and colored pictures of reindeer and
ornaments.

We set up a manger nativity set and a Polar Express Station where they ran trains on tracks through the snow. They
also worked on putting together a couple of magnetic nativity sets. Some of us really like puzzles and were very good
at doing the Christmas puzzles. The class did a pattern and sequencing activity with Christmas themed figures, played
Christmas bingo, and a couple of folder games matching Christmas trees and stockings.

Our class played in the sensory bin, practicing cutting an assortment of Christmas items including wrapping paper,
tissue paper, and recycled Christmas cards. They also trimmed the tree in the sensory bin, using scissors to cut fresh
garland. We set up an ice melt in the sensory bin. The children watched ice cubes melt to reveal Christmas figures
that were frozen inside the ice cubes. The children also worked on a giant Nativity floor puzzle, skated on paper plates
around the room while listening to Christmas music, and threw snowballs into buckets and playfully at each other!
