B1.1: GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Rapid Mixer Granulator (RMG) is a versatile machine developed for mixing as well as
granulation of ingredients. The multi-blended dual speed impeller is fitted close to the base of
the mixing bowl whereas the chopper is mounted on the wall of the mixing bowl. Both the
impellers as well as the chopper have dual speed options for gently distributing the
granulating solution as it is added and for fluidizing the charge and creating the vortex of the
material being mixed by both vertical and horizontal components.

The granulation system shall mix a 600 Ltrs batch consisting pharmaceutical raw material at a
specified RPM & duration.

centrifugal pump delivering water at 60 Ltrs/minute at a pressure of 2.5 kg/cm2.

Instrumentation at the Outlet from WIP tank to with Pneumatically actuated valve.

1. Pressure Transmitter, located at Pump outlet of wash

manifold will monitor the temp of wash water, any

B2.4: FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST:
The said product will be fully built-up at Bectochem works, prior to dispatch to site with all
ancillary items and equipment.
A full FAT will be carried out before strip-down for packing. Final client attendance, inspection
and approval is required at this stage.
B2.5: CRATING, PACKING & SHIPPING:
The equipment will be packed in cases suitable for delivery to the job site or the INCO term
mentioned in the commercial section.
Note: Client will be responsible for off-loading and storage of the equipment at site.
B2.6: SITE INSTALLATION:
Cost for on-site supervisory installation of this equipment is listed in commercial section of
this document. This would be carried out by our own installation team and includes
mechanical installation of this product and associated equipment, if any.
B2.7: COMMISSIONING AND TESTING:
We have provided an itemized cost for on-site commissioning and testing of the equipment is
listed in the commercial section of this document. After start up and commissioning a full SAT
will be executed to agreed protocols.

We have included for training as a part of itemized pricing. Training will be carried out at site
post SAT stage.
