4. MAIN COMPONENTS
4.1 Support Column
Type Structural steel column, made from ISMC/ISMB
sections. Sections run parallel to each other along the
length of the mast. Suitable ties positioned to hold the
structure together and achieve squareness, necessary
for smooth traverse. Column floor resting and
anchored/grouted at the base. Custom-built bearing
housings at both ends of the mast ensure proper
swiveling motion. Entire mast shrouded in a SS 304
enclosures for cGmp compliance.
Size 280 mm x 360 mm. Height to suit the ceiling and room
height.
Support Top of the column is provided with a additional bearing
pedestal support. The housing is anchored to the client
ceiling and helps distribute the load on the column.
Special leveling stud is provided on the upper bearing
pedestal to align the two ends, parallel to each other.
Mechanical stopping A spring-actuated pin is fixed to the lower housing. Lock
rotates along with the column and spring action pushes
the pin into guide holes, in line with the operating
positions of the mast. Pull out to unlock.

4.2 Raising/Lowering Mechanism.

Type Structural Steel Column
Description Cylinder housed inside the mast. Cylinder double
acting complete with Pilot check valve at both the in
port and out port of the fluid. Valves ensure that the
cylinder is in the current position, irrespective of the
power situation. i.e. cylinder will not collapse in case of
power failure.
Cylinder actuated by a power pack unit, complete with
pump and solenoid /check valve assembly to achieve
the desired motion.
Wire rope and pulley arrangement at the upper end
allows for the raising lowering of the yoke housing the
Canalizing SS conical frustum.
Power 2 HP/1440 RPM for the pump motor on the power
pack.

Interconnect Hoses Flexible hoses are High Pressure synthetic reinforced
SS 304 suitable for 5000-PSI Pressure and 20-120OC
Temperature.
Cover Front end of the Column support is covered with a
special textile cover, NTB 5 ply 2 mm thick (NTB
F5FDA grade). The sheet shrouds the opening in the
column for the cradle movement. It is fastened to the
cradle and to the top and bottom of the column. A
series of calendaring rollers within the cradle ensures
shroud tautness and prevents gaps between the
shroud and the mast.
Control Limit switch located at the upper end and the lower
end; govern the length of the vertical movement.
4.3 Cone
Canalizing Cone Conical frustum, to suit the FBD container upper
profile. Cone tapered, symmetrical with 60 O included
angles for ease in flow of product once tilted. Upper
edge of the cone with a fully welded girth flange.
Flange provided with a grooved seat for sealing gasket.
Gasket square section with either hollow section or
soft, to compensate for minor face undulations on the
FBD container lip.
Toggle clamps provided on the flange for clamping the
cone to the FBD container once the cone is brought

Discharge Cone ends with a manually operated butterfly valve as
discharge of 10 inches.
Support Cone integral to a U profiled support armrest.
Integration through two nos. Shaft assemblies
diametrically opposite, at the centre of the cone. Shafts
supported by flanged Pillow block bearing units fixed
within the arm support.
Bearing Flanged Pillow blocks housed in the hollow of the
armrest at both ends of the U.
Engagement to lifting Cradle Flanged, bolted to the cradle with reinforcement
gussets.
4.4 Tilting Mechanism
Tilting Hydraulic: Reciprocating cylinder housings, flange
mounted on the Bearing Housing frame. Cylinders at
either ends of a rack pinion arrangement. Rack
integrated to the cylinders. Rack engages a pinion gear
fixed to the shaft, at both ends. Reciprocal actions of
the cylinder assemblies cause the rack to move to and
fro. When the rack moves forward the Pinion rotates
causing the shaft to turn and the cone to tilt. The action
reveres when the other cylinder operates. There are
two assemblies at both ends of the shafts.
Cylinder Hydraulic Cylinder Housed Inside the Mast Model
80mm Bore with chevron type packing, to ensure leak
proof closure. The rack is directly engaged to the
cylinder disc. When pressurized, the disc moves
forward, and in turn causes the rack to slide forward,
thereby tilting the cone.
Turning Radius Stroke of the cylinder/s and length of the rack governs
the total degree of tilt to the cone. This is factory set
and designed to suit the layout.

4.5 Control Panel SS 304
RYB Indicators
Mains Isolator. This actuates the Power pack pump, in
case of Hydraulic units.
Push Button
All operations are forced actuation. The Push Buttons
have to be held to operate.

4.6 Main Control Panel Independent MCP, the MCP will be powder coated and

The basic machine uses a dedicated panel with relay
logic controls with a control voltage of 230 V AC unless
otherwise specified.

The equipment will be fitted with the name plate, securely fixed in a prominent position,

B2.4: FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST:

The said product will be fully built-up at Bectochem works, prior to dispatch to site with all
ancillary items and equipment.

A full FAT will be carried out before strip-down for packing. Final client attendance, inspection
and approval is required at this stage.

B2.5: CRATING, PACKING & SHIPPING:

The equipment will be packed in cases suitable for delivery to the job site or the INCO term
mentioned in the commercial section.

Note: Client will be responsible for off-loading and storage of the equipment at site.

B2.6: SITE INSTALLATION:

Cost for on-site supervisory installation of this equipment is listed in commercial section of
this document. This would be carried out by our own installation team and includes
mechanical installation of this product and associated equipment, if any.

B2.7: COMMISSIONING AND TESTING:

We have provided an itemized cost for on-site commissioning and testing of the equipment is
listed in the commercial section of this document. After start up and commissioning a full SAT
ill be executed to agreed protocols.

B2.8: TRAINING:

We have included for training as a part of itemized pricing. Training will be carried out at site
post SAT stage.
