1. Due to crisis or pandemic and events are hindered on the 1st few quarters of the pandemic.
- Yes some of event are delay because of pandemic, may be the event go but they have big
adjustment in the plan of event. In the first quarters of pandemic, the period when the travel
restriction and lockdowns in most countries started, international tourist arrivals declined by
22% resulting almost million are gone in global tourist receipts. In such period, 97
destinations have totally or partially closed their borders for tourist, 65 destinations have
suspended international flights totally or partially, and 39 destinations were implementing the
closing of borders like banning the arrivals from specific area. Many upcoming schedule
events were inevitably postponed or canceled because of the virus. Business events that may
have already booked but cause of pandemic they also canceled. As physical event continued
to be canceled, there seem to be limited methods by which these spaces can generate revenue.
The public who may have been long anticipating these events will likely be disappointed.
Host of large-scales events would have to accommodate each and every person who has
requested ticket refunds. The impacts of covid-19 on the events industry are something that
cannot be underestimated. Many companies are dependent on events
a part of their marketing strategies. To survive their companies is to adapt the environment.
2. Your task now is to create an idea or plan of event that is possible during this time of pandemic.
- The best idea that I can create for the events since they have a pandemic it is a virtual events.
3. Kindly discuss the details of your idea
- It important now for events to follow to the new safety guidelines. Events planned on short
notice will need to be promoted virtually, rather than with printed materials. Virtual events
offer an option for creating community connections while residents want to stay safe at home.
Some option includes virtual retail events, virtual tours and virtual experiences. Virtual retail
events are great option to engage your customer from the comfort of their homes. Live videos
on Face book and Instagram offer a good platform for retails and promotion of products/offer
discount. Virtual tours are visiting from other countries. Idea includes touring the historical,
main attraction of one area and touring the local museum, among others. These can be
marketed as live in face book. And last business and communities that think creativity about
offering virtual experiences can help to improve the quality of life for resident who are
staying home. Like attending virtual online cooking but also they have a ticket price to give
