What is an IQ Testing?
Originally, IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, was used to detect persons of
lower intelligence, and to detect children of lower intelligence in order
to place them in special education programs. The first IQ tests were
designed to compare a child's intelligence to what his or her
intelligence "should be" as compared to the child's age. If the child was
significantly "smarter" than a "normal" child of his or her age, the child
was given a higher score, and if the child scored lower than expected
for a child of his or her age, the child was given a lower IQ score.

Today IQ testing is used not primarily for children, but for adults as well
as for students in their professional entrance test in various
universities.Universities evaluate the prime intelligence of their new
students by taking IQ tests of multiple aptitudes. Today we attempt to
write tests that will determine an adult's true mental potential,
unbiased by culture, and compare scores to the scores of other adults
who have taken the same test. So today we compare an adult's
objective results to the objective results of other adults, and determine
how intelligent each test taker is compared to all other test takers,
instead of comparing test takers to an arbitrary age related standard.

Below are some of the questions which were in

CODING & DECODING

Code is related to secret language,sign,
secret writing etc.Code is used to
communicate secretly.But in competative
examination questions coding and decoding
questions are asked to test the logical ability
of candidate.
How to solve decoding & coding amplitude
questions?
Take an example:
If a MOBILE is coded by as OQDKIN, then Tablet is
coded as?
M----------(N)----------O
O-----------(P)----------Q
B-----------(c)-----------D
I------------(J)-----------K
L-----------(M)----------I
E-----------(f)-----------N

Now see for TABLET

T----------(U)----------V
A----------(B)----------C
B----------(C)----------D
L----------(M)----------N
E----------(F)-----------G
T----------(U)----------V
So TABLET is coded as VCDNGV

Previously i taught u how to solve coding & decoding

questions,Now lets have a look on another example which is
slightly different......
n certain code BRAIN is coded as CQBHO how will u code
TALENT?
B----------->C
R<-----------Q
A------------->B
I<-------------H
N-------------->O
Here letters are shifted alternatively one step forward &
backward.Therefore in same code we can write TALENT
T----------->U
A<-----------Z
L------------>M
E<----------D
N----------->Q
T<----------S
Thus TALENT is coded by UZMDQS

In INTELLIGENCE section there are some

MCQ's related to code wording so before
the commencement of Test wrote down te
whole Abc in the rough sheet provided to
you.
IQ..If a person starts walking from origin, he walks 20 km in the west
turns left walks 10 km again turns left and walks for 33 km again turns
left and walks for 10 km. what is the distance from origin where the

person is standing now? And whats the direction w.r.t origin?

IQ. A person starts from origin walks 3km south and takes right u turn
walks 5km turns right walks 1km again travels 2km. Where is he now?
a)East b)West c)North d)South

Now the third type of IQ questions include DIRECTIONS and

DISPLACEMNTS.
EX:
A persons walks 3km from origin in north direction turns right walks
2km again turns right nd walks 3km. Where is he now with respect to
origin?
Ans is 2km from origin nd on east side wrt origin.
For these type of question first draw the compass nd then just keep
drawing whatever said in the question u will get your answer in the end
if you have done it right.

If CATCH is coded as FBUFJ then what will be the code for THROW?

Now the second type of IQ questions which are frequently asked are
coding & decoding questions.
For example.
If PEN is coded as QFM then what should be the coding for FAN?
Its Solution:
First off all ,you have to do maping like QFM for PEN, Q comes after P,
F comes after E and M comes before N. You will apply same procedure
on the given word FAN. Answer comes to be GBM.

Another type questions are below:

Find the next one

75,15,25,5,15_______
IQ
find the missing one
1,1,2,3,5______

IQ
Find the missing one
14,24,_______816,1648I________
Q. Find the missing one
3600,60,1600,40_______20

Here the preparation starts now;

Initiating with iq portion.
There is type of questions in this portion which include sequence nd
series. Pre-engineering students can solve these type of questions
quickly as compared to others. All u want to do is relax your minds and
just focus.
Example: Find the missing one
12,24,36,?
Here the logic used is that in every consecutive number there is addition
of 12.
So the missing no is 48.
So this was the easiest one. Anything nd anylogic u can come across. So
u need to be very carefull when solving these type of mcqs

and 4 orange marbles and 3 marbles are chosen at random from the jar
without replacing any of them.what is the probability that 2 yellow,1 red
and no orange marbles will be chosen? a.1/60 b.1/45 c.2/45 d.3/22
e.5/22
