Nov. 6 in an exercise at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, State.
The deceased is Navy Petty Officer 2" Class Willie Keeler, 24, of West Warwick, Rhode
Island, a builder assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11. Keeler was taken by
helicopter to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Missisippi,where he was announced dead

Injured were:
Navy Petty Officer 1* Class Buck Ewing, a builder assigned to Naval Mobile
Construction Battalion 11. Ewing was taken by ambulance to Forrest General Hospital, where he
‘was listed in serious condition.
Navy Chief Petty Officer Cap Anson, an equipment operator assigned to Naval Mobile
Construction Battalion 11. Anson was treated and released from the Camp Shelby Troop Medical
Clinic.
The Sailors were conducting an exercise in preparation for their unit's deployment to
Poland.
