1 SCOPE

This procedure covers the general requirements for installation and inspection of
PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM to be used for RIAU GFPP 275MW IPP Project at
Pekanbaru - Riau, Indonesia.

2 PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is to define the method of installation and inspection of
PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM.

3 REFERENCES

Unless otherwise specified, all reference documents, code and practices shall be taken
in their latest edition.

4 PLUMBING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

4.1 Plumbing Water Supply System

- The Plumbing potable water distribution systems are looped and tapping to BOP
pipe potable water supply and will be used with necessary isolation valves as per
area.
- The potable water will distributed the water to toilet potable water system and for
eye wash and also to supply for safety shower system and to all sanitary fixture of
plumbing system.
- The potable water distribution system will be routed above ceiling and inside the
wall.

4.2 Supporting system of Plumbing for this plant consists of:

- Plumbing Potable Water supply System

- Plumbing Hot Water supply System
- Plumbing Sewage Water Drain System
- Plumbing Waste Water Drain System
- Plumbing Venting pipe System
- Plumbing Sanitary Installation System

5 SEQUENCE OF WORK

5.1 Work Permit

Before starting the work section, a work permit shall be get approval and allowable by
Safety Officer/HSE Supervisor.

5.2 Take-out and transfer Materials

- Ensure the plumbing pipe loading and unloading material doing with safely.
- Ensure take out plumbing material from warehouse or laydown with safely
condition.
- Ensure that carrying and transfer the materials to be use the mobile transportation.

5.3 Plumbing Piping Installation Guidelines

- Take of the pipe and fitting materials with correct size and as per approved
construction drawing.
- Pipe supports, hangers, and brackets are prepared and fabricated in accordance
with the standard drawing and owner requirement.
- Ensure, all pipe and fitting materials no damage and been clean from soil and
debris.
- Ensure Area and location for plumbing pipe installation is correct.
- Ensure the line of plumbing pipe has been marking on correct position and
levelling.
- Plumbing Pipe supports, hangers, and brackets are installed in accordance with
the standard drawing.
- All plumbing pipe run as direct as possible, avoiding unnecessary offsets.
- UPVC plumbing pipe for Sewage water drain, Waste water drain and air vent pipe
will stringging on pipe support/pipe hanger and continue to fit-up the pipe with joint
glue.
- All potable water pipe and fittings will be PPR type with fusion joint type.

- PPR potable water main line pipe will stringging on pipe hanger and pipe support
with fusion joint type.
- All Waste water drain pipe and Sewage water drain pipe will use UPVC AW Class
pipe with glue joint.
- All air vent pipe will used UPVC D Class with glue joint.
- Plumbing pipe hangers will be spaced according to the relevant standard Plumbing
Indonesi and project specification, clause and Hanger rod sizes and numbers will
comply with the project specification.
- Ensure the fit-up of plumbing pipe has been correct and straightness.
- Ensure all connection joint between pipe and fittiing has been correct and good
connection and ensure not leak during pressure test and floading test.
- Ensure all pipe butt fusion welding joint and results have been inspected and
approved by QC by visual inspection.
- Supply potable water to sanitary point will be through inside the wall.
- Vertical air vent pipe also will be through inside the wall, and heading out of the
building through above the ceiling.
- Install piping neatly, work into place without springing or forcing.
- Ensure all connections to sanitary should be use the standard connection and
properly joints.

5.4 Pressure Reducing Valve, Installation

- Check the PRV valves has been inspected and received according project
specification and Inspection is no signs of damage.
- Make sure the location of PRV valves has been available and ready to use for
install PRV Valve.
- Make sure the setting of PRV valves as per approved construction drawing and
with carefuly measure of elevation, orientation and plumbness / verticality.
- Make sure assembling of PRV valves has been complete and according with
manufacture requirement and project specification.
- Make sure Bolting and gasket joint has been complete.

5.5 Isolation Valve Installation

- Check the valve has been completed inspected and received according project
specification Inspection is no signs of damage.
- Make sure the piping installation and location of valve has been available and
ready for install the valve.
- Make sure the install of valve according as per approved construction drawing.
- Make sure valve has completed tightening and no leak.
- Ensure valve installation has correct direction and position according with
approved drawing.

5.6 Clean Out Installation

- Ensure piping work installation has been completed and already approved
flooding test.
- Ensure piping work installation has been completed finish backfill and elevation
has been fixed.
- Make sure the levelling setting of Clean out has same with finish floor and
according with approved drawing.
- Make sure install of clean out has been completed with good tightening.

5.7 Plumbing Sanitary Equipment Installation

- Ensure piping work installation has been completed and already approved
Flooding test.
- Make sure the type of sanitary is accordance with materials approved.
- Ensure the sanitary equipment has finished materials inspection and no damage.
- Make sure transfer, loading and unloading of sanitary equipment doing by safely.
- Make sure install and setting the sanitary equipment at correct location.
- Make sure Setting of sanitary equipment has correct levelling, direction, and good
verticality.
- Make sure Tightening bolting has been complete.

6 INSPECTIONS / DOCUMENT
6.1 INSPECTIONS
After completion each of plumbing pipe fabrication work and erection work, and prior to
ensure that plumbing pipe installation is proper, the piping system shall be inspected to
ensure that:

- 100% visual inspection requirement already done.

- Proper piping material has been used.
- Equipment, Piping work has been erected as per drawing.
- All supports have been installed properly.
- The air conditioning and ventilation system shall be tested according to the project
requirement and the Subcontractor shall submit ITP (Inspection & Test Plan)

After completion each of work installation and inspection of installation, the document
should be compiling in mechanical completion document dossier.
Make sure that document compiling have been completed and completed sign of from
dedicated person.

7 EQUIPMENTS/ TOOLS / MANPOWER

7.1 Tools & equipment

The following Tools and Equipment will be used for Plumbing System Installation:

- Butt fusion welding machine / Electro fusion joint machine

- Threading machine
- Welding machine
- Drill machines
- 12” Grinding / Cutting machine
- 4” Grinding machine
- Vise table
- Pipe wrenches & spanners, etc.

8 SAFETY
The installation and inspection of plumbing System of the general hazardous nature of
installation work, a number of safety precautions will be implemented. The following shall
apply:

- Make sure Permit to Work has been ready before start the work.
- All project employees shall be advised of pipe fabrication and installation at the
Pre-Start Meetings.
- Access shall be by authorized personnel only, and this shall be reinforced by the
display of adequate signage.
- All employees and client representatives involved in the inspection of pipe
fabrication and installation shall following a safety regulation prior to commencing
any activity relating to installation work and inspection.
- All personnel involved in piping work shall exercise extreme caution and shall at all
times comply with this procedural document.
- All personnel involved in pipe installation work shall exercise extreme caution
when using the working tools.
Work shall strictly follow as per the Manufacturer’s / Client’s / Consultant’s Health & Safety
recommendations for handling and use of the materials. Ensure all involved personnel shall
be aware of the same.
