It was my first time in Barangay Salvacion and i chose this family because of the insticnts
I have that I will able to help them and having rapport to the family. In accordance to the
principle of confidentiality and to maintain the families patient’s dignity, I therefore withhold the
real identity of the patient and address them as Family V. For me it was nervous,my heart was
pounding fast and it was hesistant to me to interact with them at first but since they started to talk
to me and there was the que for me to start interacting. When I ask the member of the family
about what they think about having many family member in one household. He said “ Miskan
hout kaayo mi sa among balay, miskan daghan kaayo mi pero as long as Isa rami nga dili mi mag
buwag buwag para nako contento nako ani wala nay lain makalupig pa aning na feel nako
karon”. I was stunned when i heard their response because even though how hard life is, they
still mange to smile at me with no hesitance and told me family is home when they are together.

The family V income is enough to suppy their daily needs since mostly of their children
have regular jobs and the family has a business of living stocks and pigs to compensate their
expenses to their homes.
In terms of handling money, the head of the family and her partner has regular jobs, their 3 sons
have jobs as well earns money for their labor. They give mostly their money to Mrs. V so that
she can budget and allocate their money on the expenses. “ Mostly sa akong anak ila ihatag ilang
mga kwarta sa akoa pero dili tanan nila sweldo kay ilaha biya nang hinaguan. Tas akong anak
nga si Son 4 og Daughter kay naka graduate na sa college sa puhon puhon maka tabang nani sila
sa akoa. Wala najud miy problemahon ani kani nalang pag katiguwang namo” As verbalized by

1. Housing
A. Adequacy of Living Space
Family V lives in house made of wood and concrete with stainless steel roof. Mrs.V
welcomed me, the student nurse on their living room after being interviewed were there was 3
furnitures, tv with G-sat. Their dining are is also their kitchen they have dirty kitchen in the back
of their houses compose of cooking area and they have plate cabinets with glass plates and
utensils. Family V has a proper sink which they can just let the water flow on it below into the
drainage system whick is open. They have 4 bedrooms located at the back from the door
entrance of the living room.

As for the space standards, rm #1 has 1 master bed with 3 persons, rm#2 has 1 masterbed
with 2 adults and 2 children, rm#3 has a double deck bed with 2 persons, and rm#3 has 1 single
bed with 1 person. “ And sa amoang kwarto mag asawa ang ga higda diraa is kami mag asawa og
akong anak nga babae, sa ikaduha nga kwarto ang ga tulogan diraa is ang mag asawa og ilang 2
ka anak , ang double deck nga kwarto kay si Sons 3 og 4 tas ang single bed kay akong
pinakamaguwangan.” As verbalized by the mother with regards to the sleeping pattern and
arrangement. The living room is (17.7ft) the width and (12ft) the length. Their Kitchen is (14ft)
length and a width of (12ft).
B.Adequacy of Furniture
“Wala man kaayo miy ok-ok, minus pod kaayo og mga ilaga pero
inig gabie grabe jud ka daghan og lamok mao nang ga katol mi para ma
minus minusan ang lamok.” As verbalized by Mrs.V.
“Daghan mig mga plato utensils nga ginatagoan nako reserba para
sa fiesta or naay occasion nga mahitabo diria sa amoa.” As
verbalized by Mrs.V and i also observed they have utensils and plate
cabinets, and have refrigerator.
E. Water Supply
“Ang tubig namo diri nga bomba dili mainom pero magamit namo pang
ligo, washing sa motor,panghugas og plato og pang bo-bo sa among tae.
Kung mag kuha mig tubig didto dapita sa purok shed kay mainom man to
didtoa.” As verbalized by Mrs.V, I’ve observe that the near “bomba”
has visible sands.
F. Toilet Facilities
“Wala man okay raman amoa cr water sealed mani siya ma bo-bo tas
dili pa puno among septic tank. Naa man sab miy cr sa gawas kung
kintahay naay emergency kung mag dungan ara ra didtoa gamiton.” As
verbalized by Mrs.V their comfort room for the family is in the house
it is comfortable and accessable.
“Kay dili man jud mo sulod ang garbage collector diria so nag himo mig paagi para maka
labay mis among basura. Ga himo mig compost pit tas didto ra namo isunog amoang basura.”As
verbalized by Mrs.V

“Open raman among drainage diretso ra namos sa canal. Pero wala man mi ga problema
ana. Pero usahay lang kung ting ulan ulan kay mo apaw ang tubig mao siguro ang dahilan mao
daghan ang lamok sa amoa.” As verbalized by Mr.V

Family usually eats fish and other meats. There are no allergy with anything of foods
with the family. “Sige rami kaon og karne og isda kay naa man sige labay labay ang mamaligya
karne sa amoa, .” As verbalized by Mrs.V as observed they always eat and manage to eat 3 times
a day.
