QUESTIONS:
1. What type of ecosystem did you show in your diorama?
SAVANNA- savanna or savannah is a mixed woodland grassland
ecosystem characterized by the trees being sufficiently widely spaced so
that the canopy does not close. The open canopy allows sufficient light to
reach the ground to support an unbroken herbaceous layer consisting
primarily of grasses.
2. Why did you use the plants, animals, and other organisms in your assigned
ecosystem?
Plants are essential to the balance of nature and in people's
lives. ... plants are the only thing that are able to convert the suns energy
into food and in the process convert the carbon dioxide that animals make
eating each other and plants back into oxygen.
All animals have important roles in the ecosystem. ... Some animals help
to bring out the nutrients from the cycle while others help in
decomposition, carbon, and nitrogen cycle. All animals, insects, and even
micro organisms play a role in the ecosystem.
3. What the factors influence the type of organisms that can be found in
ecosystem that you represented in your diorama?
The abiotic components of a savanna grassland are the nonliving aspects
of the grassland ecosystem that the living organisms depend upon. These
include climate, soil, topography and natural disturbances. Precipitation is
important to a grassland as it determines the amount and types of
plants and trees that grow.
