I chose Kimberlé Crenshaw Discusses 'Intersectional Feminism' and Prejudice and

Discrimination: Crash Course Psychology #39

Under the feudal system of China, the patriarchal society has continued until now.

Women have been indoctrinated that "no talent is virtue", which hinders women's

career development to a certain extent. Women's rights do not require women or their

ability or status to be higher than men, but to be equal with men. Now, women's

employment will still be discriminated against. Because women have their

physiological and reproductive characteristics, enterprises should have relevant

policies for women in childbearing period and women workers after childbirth. I think

the ultimate beneficiary of women's rights is every family that pays for it, and it is our

developing human beings. In the old times, women were bound in the family and

became the vassals of their husbands. They were talented and could not work. They

could not get social status. Women in ordinary families were also difficult to receive

education and learn cultural knowledge. Even if they read a little book, they could not

contribute to the society. I didn't experience discrimination, but my mother did. Under

the influence of feudalism, my grandfather asked my mother to give up school and let

my uncle go to school. Real equality is "equal opportunity". What do women need

most? It is the equal treatment of the society, the equal right to education, the equal

employment opportunity and the equal salary.

I think we should treat religion, clan and gender equally. Every individual should
be respected and revered for life.
