Reflection at End of Term:
I think I’ve made a lot of progress throughout this semester. Although I still have room to grow, I’ve
come a long way. When teaching my health lessons during the second half of my practicum, I found
my ‘niche,’ so to speak. I’ve been able to have a lot of fun with the material and with my students. I
feel very confident teaching this topic and I think it shows. I can tell how engaged my students are
with these lessons, and I largely attribute that to my preparedness and confidence. Teaching the
way I would if I were not being evaluated seems to have helped.

Reflection at End of Term:
I have made huge strides in my classroom management throughout this term. I got into the habit of
continuously ‘looking up’ and around the room to take inventory of what my students are up to. I’m
always trying to be cognisant of how I’m standing when I’m teaching; facing them and angling my
body so that I’m turned away as little as possible. At this stage, I am very happy with my ability to
manage a classroom.
