COMPETENCY-BASED WRITTEN EXAMINATION (CBWE) FOR QAD EPS

INSTRUCTION SHEET

This CBWE intends to measure the competencies needed from a

Quality Assurance Supervisor in order to effectively carry out his/her
work. You are given three (3) hours to complete this CBWE.

Before commencing the CBWE. You are given 10 minutes to open the
four (4) folders to check its contents. The table below will give you a
brief description of the contents:

FOLDERS BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Resources This folder contains the resources that
you may need to help you understand
the context, policy guidelines and
standard operating procedure.

Under this folder you will find the

“Instruction to Examinee”
In-basket This folder contains various letters from
clients that you need to reply through
formal communication. You may need
to prioritize in answering these letters.
QAME analysis This folder contains a one-page results
of the QAME of QAD recent
engagement with the Schools Division
counterparts, you will need to prepare
an analysis of the results and give the
necessary recommendations.
Project Proposal on M&E This folder has the instruction about
writing a Project Proposal on M&E

BRIEFER

You will play the role of Julian Dela Cruz, the newly hired QAD EPS. Today
is December 7, 2020, your first day at work. You have not met your Chief
Education Supervisor (CES) as she is out of the country until December
22, 2020. The Senior QAD EPS welcomed you and handed to you a
bundle of documents containing the following folders:

▪ Communication from Clients (In-Basket) – 1 hour

- Welcome Note from your CES and Documents needing
action
- Letter of complaint on the grades of a private school
learner;
- Letter from a TV station regarding bullying complaint;
- Letter of inquiry on the requirements for Government
Recognition;
- Letter of Intent to Operate a New School
▪ Analysis of Quality Assurance Monitoring and Evaluation (QAME)
Results – 1 hour; and
▪ Writing a Proposal for the conduct of Regional Monitoring and
Evaluation (M&E) – 1 hour

SINCE, MOST OF THE CONTENTS OF THE 3 FOLDERS ARE URGENT, SO YOU

ONLY HAVE THREE (3) HOURS TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT WERE REQUIRED.
