RECAP OF THE LESSON:

Reading time:

All of us want good health. To stay healthy we have to keep our body
clean and follow good habits. We will fall ill if we if we do not follow
good healthy habits.

How can we keep our body clean?

We can keep our body clean by following ways:

1. Brushing our teeth twice a day.

2. Taking a bath everyday.

3. Combing our hair with a clean comb.

4. Trimming our nails short.

5. Washing our hands before and after each meal.

6. Rinsing our mouth after each meal.

7. Washing our hands with soap after going to the toilet.

8. Using a clean and dry towel to wipe ourselves after a bath.


Things used to keep our body clean-

1. We use tooth brush and tooth paste to brush our teeth

2. We use soap to clean our body.

3. We use ear buds to clean our ears.

4. We use a nail cutter to trim our nails.

5. We use comb for combing our hair.

6. We use clean towel to wipe ourselves.

Good healthy habits :

We should follow good healthy habits by taking care of our body in

the following ways:

1. We should always keep our body clean by brushing and bathing

daily.

2. We should always eat healthy food in right amount.

3. We should drink plenty of clean water and a glass of milk daily.

4. We should sleep on time.

5. We need about 8-10 hours of sleep every day.

6. We should go to bed early and wake up early.

7. We should exercise regularly. Swimming, running and cycling are


good examples of exercise.
8. We should play in open and not on roads and streets.

9. After playing always wash hands and face.

10. We should maintain correct posture by standing, walking

and sitting straight.

11. We should not watch too much of TV or mobile.

12. We can play some indoor games or read story books and draw or

paint.

13. We should also flush the toilet, clean the floor and dry it after

using the washroom.


WHAT DO WE NEED TO KEEP OUR BODY HEALTHY?

Our body needs different things to live and grow. They are

1. AIR:

We need pure air to breathe. We should always breathe through our

nose and not through our mouth. It is not healthy to breathe in air that

has smoke.

2. WATER:

Always use clean water for drinking and bathing. There should be no

germs in the water we drink.

3. FOOD:

We should always eat fresh food.

We should wash fruits and vegetables before use.

We should eat in clean plates and use clean spoons as dirty plates

and spoons may contain germs in it.

4. CLOTHES:

We should wash and change our clothes daily. We may fall ill if we

wear dirty clothes. Neat and clean clothes make us look smart and

good.
