Pakistan’s Agricultural And Livestock Sector:

Pakistan 's agriculture has consistently generated the largest GDP, employs the most workers and

was named the "backbone of the Pakistani economy" due to its contribution to the economy in

one form or another. As of 2019, Pakistan 's farming sector employed about 38.5% of its

workforce and made a contribution of 18.5% to Pakistan's GDP. Agricultural suppliers play an

important role in flourishing this sector of Pakistan as well.

Livestock is Pakistan 's agricultural subsector which contributes roughly 56% of agricultural

value addition and close to 11% of the gross domestic product (GDP). Development of livestock

makes a significant contribution to value-added services for agriculture. In this respect Pakistan

definitely has a diversified environment and natural resources. Therefore, it stands at a high

position. But sadly, livestock in the country is underutilized. Pakistan is equipped with rich,

untapped capacity. This is because of the use of outdated systems and equipment. Therefore,

these agricultural suppliers help cater to the needs of the ever-growing livestock sector and
