Dear Dean Agdon,

This letter is to inform you that our Professor in PCOM (Purposive

Communication), Prof. Ligaya Hidalgo, insists in abiding her online activities even
though a memorandum to halt the activities has been established. She wants us to
complete our final requirement which is the research paper which is somehow
impossible to be done in this time of crisis.

Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, she may want to consider our status. Here are the
following reasons:

1. Not all students have a personal computer and a stable wifi/internet.

2. Some of the students are only using cellular data to communicate.
3. She wants us to write our research paper in a notebook.
4. She demands 100 respondents in the research which seems to be impossible to
meet due to lack of wifi/internet and personal computer. Also, majority of the
students are offline/inactive.
5. Computer shops are closed.

To show you a proof here are some of the students who expressed their concern:
In addition, all her students in PCOM were threatened because she said that if
we weren’t able to finish this requirement, we will take this subject in the next semester.

With all due respect, we are still complying to her activities because of the fear of
failing and repeating the subject. We believe that this is not the right time to pursue
academic excellence. But rather, focus on our families’ and our health to fight the virus.

Speaking of compliance, we would like to recommend that the submission would

be extended and not after the ECQ.

Sincerely yours,
