3.0 Project Duration: The duration of this project would be 2 to 3 hours.

4.0 Project Location: Mapúa University-Manila Auditorium. 658 Muralla St, Intramuros, Manila,
1002 Metro Manila

5.0 Beneficiaries: 25 participants ranging from 16 to 18 years old.

6.0 Initiating Section: CWTS-A14

II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Project Anchored is a seminar that solely focuses on creating awareness about the mental health
disorders of the youths in our community. This program will be led by a licensed Psychiatrist as it aims to
open the mind of our youth towards mental health disorders, what are the right treatment, and available
psychiatric help or facilities that can be used when in a state of distress. Moreover, this project aims to
show that mental health disorders are real and are not a dramatic act.

III. PROJECT RATIONALE

As our society progress into the future, it is evident that there are people who think that mental
health disorders are topic that should be confined in a box. This act hinders some youth from obtaining vital
information or knowledge that could help them understand what they are going through. Hence, Project
Anchor is created. The goal of this seminar is to bring light to those who are confused about what they are
experiencing, get their questions answered, educate them about the treatments and facilities that are
available, and encourage them to spread mental health awareness.

IV. PROJECT BENEFICIARIES

The aimed beneficiaries of this awareness campaign are teenagers who range from 16 to 18 years
old and have limited access to this information because they belong to the majority of those who are
suffering in the corner not knowing what they are dealing with and what is the right course of treatment to
win the battle.

V. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
• Open the mind of our youth towards mental health disorders.
• Educate them about the available treatments.
• End the stigma against Mental Health Disorder.
