Mineral: Gold

REASONS
Though gold has a lt of useful uses in electronics because it is a good conductor of electricity and in
dentistry since the mtal is ductile and can easily shape , it is seen or mostly used in the making of
jewelries. Society uses this mineral for their wealth and money, thta’s why it is the least useful
mineralinI the list.

SOURCES
The major gold producing areas in Philippines are districts of Baguio and
Paracale located on the Island of Luzon and Marasa, and the locations in
Mindanao such as Surigao and Masbate.

Mineral: Sulfur

REASONS
Sulfur is needed for the production of sulfur acid that is used in fertilizers, batteries and
cleaners. sulfur is also used as a byproduct of the refinement of fossil fuels into
usable energy sources like gasoline. The products made from sulfur is part of the
basic necssecity needed for living but some of it can still affect our natre like avid
rain.

Native sulphur occurs naturally as massive deposits in Texas and Louisiana in the
USA.

REASONS
Cobalt is used in the making of alloys for aircraft engine parts that is importnat in aircrafts like
arplanes and jetplanes thus it is importnat in transportation. It is also used in batteries and
electroplating.

used to make soaps, detergents and drain cleaners.potassium is also important for our
bodies, it is  used in muscle contraction, fluid and pH balance, bone health, and
helps to prevent kidney stones.
