box

box

space

the
diorama.

box
should

be
bigger

adult
sized
shoebox.

plastic
figures

mold
items

clay

represent
animals,
plants,
and
objects
in
their
projects.
Materials
such
as
magazines
(for
photos),
silk

plastic
plants,
popsicle
sticks,
toothpicks,
glue,
construction
paper,
and
other
craft
items
may
be
used.

• You
will
be
creating
a
diorama
of
a
habitat
of
your
choice:
1. Rainforest
2. Ocean
3. Polar
4. Desert
5. Forest
1. You need to cover OR color the inside of your box. This should reflect
the habitat that you choose. For example, an ocean habitat would have
a blue background to represent water.
2. Write your name and the habitat you chose on the back of the box
3. At least two animals that live in this habitat
4. Label the items in your habitat
5. On the back of the shoebox, using an index card, describe your
habitat by answering the following questions:
• Why did you choose this habitat?
• What types of animals live in this habitat?
• What is the environment of this habitat like?
