Inquiry: If I focus my attention on specific students, can there be a noticeable improvement in literacy within the 5 week
period of practicum?
Professional Goal #1
Focus on literacy with students that are noticeably behind their peers in order to gauge results after 5 weeks.
Rationale:
I am curious to see whether I can make a difference in my student’s learning and would love to get a feel of how fast a grade 2
student can progress. The extra attention may foster a greater relationship with the student and improve their quality of life
at school.

Professional Goal #2
Employ fun, attention-grabbing classroom management strategies often and throughout my lessons in my grade 2 class.
Rationale:
After visiting my students for orientation day, I noticed my TA using fun and engaging classroom management techniques. I
wish to learn some of these and practice them for future use.
