PART 1: GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND

We, the members of Barangay Bukang-Liwayway implied that every beginning of a new
day is a chance for hope and improvement. What drew us together was our goal to help
our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was not technically easy, given the factors that each one of us may comprise. But
according to a famous saying “If there’s a will, there’s a way.” Our major source of
communication as a barangay (group) may it be synchronous or asynchronous was the
Discord Server, a place for crafting and molding of ideas.

Even though we are in trying times, we must color our lives somehow through art. Art is
eye-catching, interactive, and a form of expression. It is also a way to please and catch
a ention. In our case, we wanted to use art to provide concrete support in li le ways that
we can. Our plan was to volunteer in a local public school in distributing modules to
learners and introducing the world of art as a therapy for their mental health and
adversities in life.

We have pointed out several challenges that will possibly make an impact on the duration
of our project. Despite the given circumstances, we have figured and planned out effective
ways of solving them:

Good thing that we only encountered some of them and a solution was given based on the
directive of our plan.

(RESOURCES)

We started asking for sponsorships from different people that were related to us and also
from microenterprises. We were able to collect enough amount to supply the materials
needed from the start until the end of the project. Printing of modules was covered by us,
with the instructions and guidance from the teacher of our chosen class.

There were only (6 subjects) modules required for that week.

moved due to the aftermath of a typhoon.

Note: The art module was not given back in order to prioritize their academic requirements. It is
only used as a partial therapy to destress, to enjoy, and to reflect on the true personal definition of
art.

PART 3: EVALUTION AND SUSTAINABILITY

We have evaluated that we satisfied and fulfilled our primary objective and goals. The plan
of action that we crafted earlier was done with compliance. Even though there were some
adjustments in a given task and a particular schedule due to the occurrence of a typhoon,
we still have managed to do it correctly and effectively.

If given a chance, we would like to sustain it if we have enough resources and sponsors. We
are sure that this type of learning modality will still continue until the end of SY 2020-2021.
This type of project can be sustained and elevated on a level that fits a specific situation that
we may possibly face in the future. Given the factors of quarantine classifications, rise and
drop of COVID-19 cases, and partial conduct of face-to-face classes.

PART 4: REFLECTIONS AND KEY LEARNINGS

This type of learning modality is really challenging for our learners. We cannot deny the
fact that this is slowly deteriorating their mental health and may begin to interfere with
how they possibly think or live. Having this project is our way to help them cope with the
challenges and changes in this new educational structure brought by the COVID-19
pandemic.

No man is an island, cooperation is the key to progress and success.


The children are the hope of tomorrow, mold them as early as possible.
There are some li le things that seemed to be irrelevant for us, but for others, it is the
exact opposite.
COVID-19 pandemic is not a hindrance in achieving your goals and fulfilling your
dreams, it will strengthen and develop you somehow.
Even though the members of Barangay Bukang-Liwayway are far away from each
other, we are still interconnected through the gained mutual trust and power of
technology.
