The maintenance strategy mainly depends on how, when and why the equipment failed or
breakdown. Timely access to the root cause of equipment’s failure needs a detailed plan well
before the start of the work, so during the execution, if uncertainty arises, the same can
handled well before the catastrophe. According to us, the maintenance strategy as follows:

First identify in advance how, when and why the equipment will breakdown. Strategic
maintenance planning should start well before the commencing of any works. Accordingly,
appropriate designs choice will significantly reduce maintenance. This based on the past
failure and according to the design of the equipment shall change.

Quality control and assurance is mainly with manufacturing and apply to maintenance works.
If the equipment properly manufactured and assembled, as-built precisely as it was designed
with a correct and accurate component as per design using the right part it will last longer
and needs less maintenance in between. It also runs smooth and produces more output.

Timely inspection is key to the proper working of any equipment. The routine inspection of
equipment with good observation will always give the real condition and maintenance
required for the smooth working of the equipment. After the inspection and observation
made, the equipment maintenance strategy needs intervention by the expert, who will timely
suggest how and when one should replace the particular part so, the equipment works
properly without disruption. This strategy will stope frequent breakdown and failure in
advance up to 90%.

Monitoring and well prediction about the condition of the equipment and evidence of the
changed condition in the equipment can predict the time and failure. Monitoring and
predicting strategy will spot the problem well before the time and can act on before the
breakdown.
