Adapting to online school

Introduction.
The principal aim of this report is to provide an overview of students’ transition
from regular classes to online classes and to identify the factors that are a detriment
to said transition and to their education in general. The final section makes
recommendations as to how these factors could be improved.

Current situation.
I have conducted interviews with a random selection of students, coming both from
rural and urban environments. The vast majority have admitted to having at least
one disadvantageous factor, ranging from poor internet connection or the lack of
other necessary resources (devices on which to attend to the classes, electricity
etc.) to the lack of privacy and other matters as such (some students don’t have a
room of their own and have to share one with their sibling/s.)

Recommendations.
Clearly, a lot more could be done to make sure that students receive the proper
education, even in these trying times. I would make the following
recommendations:
 Fund a programme through which the necessary devices will be provided to
both students and teachers.
 Ensure that every student benefits from the resources that are imperative to
participating to online classes (an internet connection, electricity etc.)
