Guidelines for the Implementation of Modular Learning

Modality
Modular learning modality uses student-friendly modules that are printed or digital
format. The following guidelines are here to help you navigate through self-paced
learning using this module.

Implementation of Modular Learning Modality

1. You are expected to browse and read the content of the modules and to answer
activities/exercise on the topic.
2. If you have questions, difficulties or concerns regarding the topic, you can
contact your instructor using the method available to you.
3. You are highly encouraged to contact your instructor using e-mail, designated
social media messaging platform or text messaging during class hours. Your
instructor is always available to answer your questions.
4. Student's progress will be monitored mostly using e-mail, messenger, and text
messaging.
5. As much as possible make yourself available during the first week of class for
the class orientation, syllabus discussion and timetable etc.

Submission of Requirements

1. Keep yourself updated with your instructor's announcements regarding your


subject requirements. Don't hesitate to contact your instructor for clarifications.
Your instructor is always ready to assist you or dm/pm CAS-CHESD fb page.
2. Outputs/activities/exercises shall be submitted every 3rd Friday of each month.
3. You may submit your outputs at the Community Learning Resource Centers to
be put up by the University in strategic areas or thru social media messaging
platform; e-mail, messenger etc., whichever is most convenient to the students.
4. Contact your assigned instructor to confirm the submission of your outputs.

Term Examinations

1. The schedule of term examinations will be announced by your instructor via


your designated social media platform messenger/ e-mail/ text messaging.
2. Your examination questions will be available via drop-off points in a sealed
envelope, or through an online form, or may be sent to your e-mail.
3. Keep yourself updated with your instructor's announcements regarding the
term examinations. Don't hesitate to contact your instructor for clarifications.

Guidelines on the Conduct of Remote Learning: Online Classes
In online learning, learning materials are available digitally and downloaded through
the internet. The Learning Management Systems provide the platform for student-
teacher, student-student and student-content interaction. Your instructor can also
adopt his/her online class to use other alternative modes like digital instructional
materials in flash drives supplemented by either synchronous or asynchronous online
learning activities applicable even in lower-internet capacities.

The following guidelines are here to help you navigate through your online-learning
journey.

1. Your instructor is available to assist you during your class schedule. He/she is
virtually present and active in all aspects of your online class.
2. Adherence to the course schedule is expected. Inform your instructor if you have
any difficulties with the schedule provided.
3. If possible, you must have access to a stable internet connection during class
activities.
4. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you encounter difficulties in using the
learning management systems and other course-related technologies.
5. Participate in the learning activities designed by your instructor for a rewarding
course experience.
6. Your progress is monitored by your instructor. A protocol of providing your
feedback/grades on electronically submitted requirements will be provided.
7. Appropriate etiquette must be observed when interacting with your classmates
as well as your instructor.
8. Details for course-related activities will be announced to allow you to plan your
study time around your other life activities.
9. Be updated with announcements and course related posts that will address your
inquiries.
10. In cases where disruptions are unavoidable on your end, inform your instructor
of the nature/cause of disruption.
