Tri-Cities High School English Teacher & PLC Lead
● Serve as PLC lead and collaborate with a team of 3 teachers to effectively co-plan curriculum
unit plans, daily lesson plans, and common assessments for students.
● Track, monitor, and analyze student performance data of 120+ students using district-wide
assessments such as Fast Bridge and Write Score to differentiate materials and instruction.
● Research and implement best practices to lead daily lessons and improve student performance
effectively.
● Foster meaningful relationships with parents, students, and the community by attending monthly
parent meetings and operating communication platforms such as the school app, Remind, and
school messenger.
● Support teacher development as a Fulton County Schools Vanguard team by leading periodic
training on ed-tech platforms and serving as English Department direct support lead.

KIPP New Orleans Schools (Teach for America)​ – New Orleans, LA June 2015-May 2017
KIPP Central City Academy (KCCA) 7th Grade English Teacher June 2016-May 2017
● Used data to manage and delegate varied tasks, including small guided reading groups,
literature circles, and writing stations amongst 30 students within a single class period.
● Concluded the year as the highest scoring 7th grade English class in all of KIPP New Orleans
Schools with more than 50% of students receiving Mastery or Advanced and 77% of students
receiving at least Basic on the end of the year LEAP test.
KCCA 5​th​-8​th​ Grade Reading Interventionist/Blended Learning Lab Lead June 2015-June 2016
● Collaborated with 4 A-Block teachers to effectively implement and manage a newly formed
reading and math leveled-intervention period for 450 scholars at KCCA serving grades 5th-8th.
● Served as a blended learning lab lead teacher for 3 large group accelerated classes with 50+
students in grades 5th, 6th, and 8th. Worked with education technology platforms such as
Hapara, ST Math, Think Through Math, Scratch, and Achieve3000 to provide personalized
learning goals and assignments.
● Managed 1 small group reading intervention classroom with 12 students in grade 7. Developed
reading intervention curriculum and executed 60-minute lesson plans, resulting in 83% of
students achieving their end of year Lexile growth goal.
● Co-wrote and presented a 25-page grant proposal for a Makerspace, which led to securing a
multi-thousand dollar grant to install and operate Makerspace technology.

COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS EXPERIENCE 


 
Fulton County Schools​ – East Point, GA August 2017-May 2018
Tri-Cities High School College & Career Adviser/Graduation Coach
● Engaged with over 600 juniors, seniors, and parents by effectively planning, publicizing, and
conducting one on one meetings, 300 ACT/SAT registrations, 78 college representative visits, 5
college application workshops, 2 financial aid nights, 2 college and career fairs, and 2 college
tours.
● Developed and implemented a scholarship fund, scholarship workshops, and scholarship
database for students. Assisted students with securing over $10 million in scholarships.
● Wrote and implemented a college-readiness curriculum that was used for senior-level Tools for
College Success course.
● Collaborated with a team of school administrators and personnel to plan and execute various
12th-grade PBIS celebrations. Together we tracked the attendance and behaviors of 400 seniors
to support at-risk 12th-grade students. Led to a 4.2% increase in the graduation rate for the
2017-2018 school year.
 
Georgia College Advising Corps​ - East Point, GA August 2013-May 2015
Tri-Cities High School College Adviser
● Served as the inaugural college adviser for the College Advising Corps program at Tri-Cities
High School. Tasked with assisting counselors to create a college-going culture for
first-generation, diverse, and low-income students.
● Effectively organized and tracked student participation and task completion throughout the year.
Used data to differentiate engagement and plan events for students.
● Worked with students to earn over 20 million dollars in scholarships and high honors, including 1
Gates Millennium Scholar and 3 Posse Scholars.
● Represented Georgia College Advising Corps at the national level during national summits. Led
various presentations centered around engaging the community with social media and tackling
ACT/SAT registrations.
