Jayanti Basu
Jayanti Basu is Professor of Applied Psychology at the University of
Calcutta, India. Her research interests are Social, Clinical and Adolescent
Psychology with special emphasis on clinical psychology, assessment
and psychotherapy processes, adolescent psychology, gender, and
cultural psychology. She is also a practising psychoanalyst. She has
published about 100 papers and book chapters in National and
International Journals and edited volumes, and also authored one book
entitled Reconstructing Bengal Partition: Psyche under a di erent
violence on qualitative and psychoanalytically informed exploration of
refugees of Bengal. She is presently the Editor of the Journal of the
Indian Academy of Applied Psychology.
