Explanation:
-A nurse should pass the Nurse Licensure
Examination for him or her to have a

-Each employee working in an
institution has a contract were he or she
signs that he or she agrees with the rules

Explanation:
-A nurse even after graduation should
engage in continuing professional education.
He or she may enroll in graduate studies,

Confirms information given by the
doctor for informed consent
Explanation:
- An informed consent is defined as the patient's
choice to have a treatment or procedure which is
based on their full understanding of the treatment
or procedure, its benefits, its risks and any
alternatives to the particular treatment or
procedure
- It is the physician's responsibility to explain the
procedure the patient needs to undergo and is
reinforced or confirmed by the Nurse.

Secures waiver of responsibility for
refusal to undergo treatment or
procedure

Explanation:
-A patient who refuses to undergo any
prescribed procedure should sign a waiver
- Example: A patient who happens to be a
Jehova's Witness refuses to have blood
transfusion (it is believed that it is against
God's will to receive blood) should sign a
waiver, this is also for legal purposes.

Checks the completeness of informed
consent and other legal forms
Explanation:
- During the admission of the patient in the
emergency room, the patient or the nearest
keen is to sign needed forms in preparation
for whatever procedure that will be done to
the patient. Ensure that the patient and his or
her nearest keen understood the consent
form before he or she affixed his or her
signature.

Explanation:
- Documentation of patient care given should
be on the appropriate form or part of the
patient's chart
- Example: Vital Signs should be recorded in
the TPR sheet, while medications given should
be documented in the medication sheet.

Explanation:
-All procedures or interventions done to the
patient should be well documented,
