Personal Profile

Experienced classical guitar concertist in solo-, chamber- and orchestral contexts, as well as
teacher of both introductory courses and advanced techniques for classical guitar. My repertoire
includes renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic and modern works from various cultures and
in various styles. As a Guitar professor, I have worked and am familiar with various instruction
methodologies, such as those of Suzuki, M. Carcassi, F. Sor, D. Aguado, M. Giuliani, J.
Sagreras, and others. I have taught students of all age groups, starting with children of age 6.

I gave my first public performance in 2004 and founded the Cuarteto de Guitarras de Caracas
in 2007 in which I performed until 2010. Since then I have kept a constant concertist schedule,
working both as soloist, in chamber ensembles and with the Simón Bolívar Baroque Orchestra
and other ensembles of El Sistema Nacional de Orquestas de Venezuela. I have continually
deepened my technical proficiency and theoretical understanding in masterclasses with world
class musicians and was awarded the first prize of the most renowned Guitar Competition in
Venezuela, the Alirio Díaz Guitar Competition, in 2016. All this has also allowed me to
successfully guide my students to prepare for and excel at public performances and
competitions.
