Clinical Evaluation #4 Coming Soon

Unfortunately, this is not complete as of yet due to the holiday break schedule. This page
will be updated as soon as it is complete. I will tell you all a little about what will be included in
the final evaluation. Evaluation four will be revisiting professional dispositions again. The first
area that will be assessed is the teacher candidates expectations for all students. The teacher
candidate should be helping students set realistic and achievable expectations for the students
and help communicate them in positive ways. The next area that will be looked at is respect or
diversity. This area encourages teacher candidates to look at the individuals in the community
and embrace the diversity that occurs within the educational environment. The third area that
will be looked at is fairness. The distinguished teacher candidate treats all students as equals but
realizes that learning is not something that occurs the same way for all students. The fourth area
is professional conduct. As a teacher candidate it is important to lead by example and make sure
that ones example has a positive impact. The next two elements go hand in hand, promoting
curiosity and reflecting on the lessons to make sure they are effective. By reflecting on previous
lesson and the effectiveness we can always find ways to improve the material in order to provide
more opportunities for students to explore the topic. The last four areas of the assessment are
what I believe make up the most crucial part of a teacher honesty, compassion, dedication, and
advocacy. Without these teaching becomes less effective and learning becomes a struggle. The
last stretch of the evaluation covers different knowledge of learning standards that should be
achieved by the end of student teaching. Don’t forget to check back to see the evaluation results.

Thanks,

Kendra
