Dear President Duterte,

To be honest I don’t like some of your rules and regulation in our country, but don’t mind it
because I believed people will always judge you in every action, words, expression, decision in
our country and the acts of your administration. January 2020, the Philippine Department of
Health reported the first case of COVID-19 in the country with a 38-year-old female Chinese
national. On 7 March, the first local transmission of COVID-19 was confirmed. We student are
thankful that you Mr. President stood to cancel classes and not let school to reopen until there are
no vaccine to prevent the transmission of COIVD-19. The safety and health protocol helps to
prevent the rapid transmission of the said virus, setting a quarantine lockdown for different
region is a good step to prevent the transmission but it is sad that you allowed NCR to reopen in
a very short quarantine lockdown, it is sad because you also allow the rapid transmission of
COVID-19 in reopening the NCR. As an accountancy student I know it is your way to limit and
address the economy damage for the betterment of your country, to regain government fund but
for me and what I have observed, yes you address some of the economy damage but you also
waste more money, funds and resources because of the rapid transmission of the said COVID-
19 the expenditures of both local and national government increases. Lastly I just want to tell
that please don’t focus on your military the virus cannot be kill by the guns military men, you
must trust, love and care the doctors, nurses, MedTech’s and health workers because they are the
one risking their lives in order to help you to fight the virus in your country. I hope this letter I’ll
help you to establish and create a better strategy in fighting COVID-19. By the way Mr.
President, Good job and keep it up we are thankful that you do everything for our country, well
appreciated and Godbless you always.
