The use of technology in the workplace helps employees communicate easily using
cutting-edge communication devices. Technology also enables employees connect

work systematically.

3. Main ideas
• eco-friendly as no paper is used which means no chopping down of trees
• saves fuel that is consumed in the process of transporting letters
• very fast
• helps people reach anyone, anywhere around the world instantly

Summary
Using e-mails protects the environment and saves fuel. E-mails can also be sent
efficiently and connect people worldwide instantaneously (Gore, Lovat & Dayman,
2015).

4. Main ideas
• greater alcohol use and a higher rate of negative alcohol-related consequences
• has links with psychological health and well-being-general unhappiness-
negative mood or depressed feelings
• mood deficits and dissatisfaction with life caused by the fear of missing out may
lead to social media addiction

Summary
Knight and Richmond (2016) in their article “Motivational, Emotional and Behavioral
Correlatation of Fear of Missing Out” report that the fear of missing out can cause
alcohol abuse among college students and lead to risky behaviour. This fear also
affects people’s emotional state causing them to feel down. Fear of missing out also
leads to obsession with the social media which stems from feelings of moodiness
and dissatisfaction.
