Check the position of the frequency adverb when there is the verb -to be in the sentence and when there is a different verb.
1. How often does Mike sleep less than eight hours? → Mike always sleep less than eight hours.
2. How often does he buy the newspaper? → He usually /normally buys the newspaper.
3. How often does he have some morning coffee? → He sometimes has morning coffee.
4. How often is he hungry after school → He is occasionally / rarely hungry after school.
5. How often does he watch TV in the afternoons? → He rarely / hardly ever watches TV in the afternoons.
6. How often is he tired after school? → He is never tired after school.
